wowarchitettura is an architecture practice based in Rome, directed by Maurizio Vellucci. The firm draws attention on how our times are changing, considering themes as green sustainability, structural transformation of cities and technological evolution as basic principles of its production. The architectural research carried by the firm concentrates on social values, expressing it in a sober and balanced architectural language. Wow received several prizes and awards in international competitions, among which the recent first prize in “Scuole Innovative”, a competition held by the Italian ministry of education. Recent works have been exhibited in the 2nd Biennale di Architettura di Pisa entitled “City, water, a Lab about the future”. Maurizio Vellucci graduated from University Roma Tre and gained professional experience working for Fuksas architects in Rome. In 2012 he won the competition in Rome for the urban regeneration of Tiber riverbank. He has been awarded the NewItalianblood 2015 prize as best as under 35 practice and in 2016 has been included in Lazio Creativo as best technological innovative project.
